Assessment of the national smokfree policy implementation in Colombia through interviews with key informants at the national and local levels and and review of news sources and government ministry resolutions. Results found that health organization monitoring, external funding, and hospitality industry support contributed to effective implementation, and could be cultivated in other low and middle income countries.
