The aims and objectives of the Taiwan Anti-Tuberculosis Association
Taiwan Anti-Tuberculosis Association aims to provide support to people with tuberculosis, promote the tuberculosis prevention education, and increase the general public’s knowledge on tuberculosis.
What the Christmas Seal design represents
Breathing is the most easily recognised sign of life and is therefore often taken for granted, but beneath the surface of the water, we are more aware of our breath than anywhere else. This painting of the ocean floor around Taiwan reminds people of the crucial connection between sustaining life and the act of breathing.
What the Christmas Seal sales support
All proceeds from fundraising go to support the Directly Observed Treatment Short-Course (DOTS) plan established by Taiwan CDC to provide living subsidies to underprivileged people with tuberculosis.
The Taiwan Anti-Tuberculosis Association first produced Christmas Seals in 1954.
