We are excited to announce a new free online course and teaching materials for trainers
The Online course on Management of Child and Adolescent Tuberculosis and the Resources for trainers on Management of Child and Adolescent Tuberculosis are aimed at helping healthcare providers/participants apply learned concepts to improve the management and care of children and adolescents with presumptive and diagnosed TB in their work settings, especially at primary and secondary levels of health services.
The target audience of this course is healthcare workers and trainers in resource-limited and high TB burden settings involved in TB management and child and adolescent TB or child and adolescent health in general.
The Online Course on Management of Child and Adolescent Tuberculosis is an asynchronous course, which means that participants will learn at their own pace through our Union Online Courses Platform.
We also offer a comprehensive set of downloadable and editable resources specifically tailored for National TB Programme (NTP) and other trainers who wish to roll out domestic training.
We aim to provide you with all the essential tools and materials to deliver a comprehensive and engaging course. We believe this package will ensure effective content retention and enhance the quality of sub-national level cascade training sessions.
The resources include:
- Facilitator manual: This comprehensive guide assists trainers in navigating the course structure, ensuring successful implementation of training.
- How adults learn: This section explores adult learning principles to help you better engage your audience.
- TeachBack approach: Guidance on implementing the TeachBack approach, where participants prepare and deliver parts of the course, reinforcing their understanding and teaching skills.
- Training planning and logistics: Tips and resources to help you organise and plan your training, including logistical considerations.
