The Union Empowers Healthcare Professionals with state-of-the-art DR-TB Management Courses
In October, The Union delivered two comprehensive courses on the clinical and programmatic management of DR-TB. These courses aimed to equip healthcare professionals with the latest evidence-based strategies and best practices for tackling the complexities of DR-TB in low-resource settings.
Held in-person, the courses took place in Taipei, Taiwan for English-speaking participants and Douala, Cameroon for French-speaking participants. The primary goal was to enhance the participants' capacity to manage DR-TB effectively, both clinically and programmatically.
Incorporating the latest guidance from the World Health Organization, the courses provided invaluable information to healthcare professionals, enabling them to implement best practices in their daily roles. This initiative underscores The Union's commitment to strengthening global health systems and improving patient outcomes in the battle against tuberculosis.
