Professor Giovanni Battista Migliori and Dr Chi Chiu Leung have been appointed as joint Editors-in-Chief of the International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IJTLD).
Professor Giovanni Battista Migliori and Dr Chi Chiu Leung have been appointed as joint Editors-in-Chief of the International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IJTLD).
Professor Giovanni Battista Migliori has authored more than 400 scientific publications during his distinguished career in research, education and technical assistance to national tuberculosis programs in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. He is Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases at the Fondazione S. Maugeri and Chair of the Global Tuberculosis Network (GTN). He recently served as Secretary General of the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
Dr Chi Chiu Leung has headed the Tuberculosis and Chest Service and the Public Health Service Branch of the Centre for Health Protection and chaired the Pneumoconiosis Medical Board in Hong Kong. He also chairs the Ethics Committee of the Hong Kong Medical Council and the Advisory Committee on Communicable Diseases of the Hong Kong Medical Association. He is deputy editor of Respirology and a past editorial board member of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. He has published over 200 scientific publications on tuberculosis, pneumoconiosis, smoking and lung cancer.

Professor Migliori and Dr Leung are long-standing members of The Union and have previously served as Associate Editors of IJTLD.
