WHO Director-General shows support for ending TB at UNGA drug resistance report launch

Dr Tedros, Director-General of The World Health Organization (WHO), showed his support for the urgent need to eliminate tuberculosis (TB), at an event to launch the new WHO report on drug-resistant pathogens, which includes TB.

José Luis Castro, The Union’s Executive Director, also attended the event which was held at the United Nations General Assembly in New York last night.  Dr Tedros spoke about how TB was a personal issue for him, his own brother battled with the disease.
