Experts from The Union's Department of Tobacco Control will participate in the 6th European Conference on Tobacco or Health (ECTOH), taking place in Istanbul, Turkey from 26 to 29 March. Department Chair Dr Ehsan Latif will chair and speak at a session on “Moving tobacco control in Europe: Successes and challenges” on 28 March. Dr Alexey Kotov will also present at this session; and Dr Irina Berezhnova, Director of The Union Russia Office will serve as spokesperson on Union activities in that country.
The Union will have an information booth in the exhibition area, where conference delegates can sign up for Union membership and learn about Union tobacco control activities and courses, such as the International Management Development Programme's training for people working in tobacco control. All Union members and friends are invited to drop by and say hello!
