Each year, The Union hosts The Union Christmas Seals Exhibition and Contest, inviting its Heritage and Organisational members to submit their designs.
Since 1904, lung health associations have raised millions of euros for lung diseases by selling Christmas TB seals (stamps). Each year, The Union honours this tradition with The Union Christmas Seals Exhibition and Contest, inviting its Heritage and Organisational members to submit their designs.
As 2020 is The Union’s Centennial year, this year there will be a larger Christmas Seals Exhibition to celebrate the history of this longstanding tradition. The Union is also opening the voting to the public, enabling votes from outside the Union membership. Voting will open in October on The Union's website. All entries will also be displayed as part of a virtual exhibition during this year’s 51st Union World Conference on Lung Health which will be held 20-24 October. The winners from previous years are already displayed on The Union’s website.
This year active Heritage and Organisation members* can submit their entries by sending high-resolution scans (300 dpi minimum) of the seals they used in 2019 to seals@theunion.org by Tuesday, 8 September. If the file is bigger than 5 MB, please send your file through WeTransfer. Please also tell us: (1) When your organisation first produced Christmas seals; (2) How many seals you sold in 2019; (3) Some details about the activities supported by these sales, and (4) The revenue this activity generated in 2019 (if available).
*Please ensure you membership is up to date before submitting your entry by contacting Rajni Khan from the membership team: rkhan@theunion.org
