Registration is now open for the 43rd Union World Conference on Lung Health, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 13-17 November 2012. The 5-day scientific programme will offer more than 100 symposia, post-graduate courses, workshops, plenary lectures, and poster-related sessions presenting the latest research and experience in managing TB, MDR-TB, HIV, asthma, pneumonia, non-communicable diseases and tobacco control. The Union conference is the largest annual conference focusing on these issues as they affect limited-resource settings.
The theme this year is “Driving Sustainability through Mutual Responsibility” highlighting the fact that meeting today’s challenges requires the efforts not only of health care professionals but also of all stakeholders in public health. Some 3,000 delegates from 125 countries are expected to attend.
