About the Global Asthma Network (GAN):
The Global Asthma Network has been established to improve asthma care globally, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries, through enhanced surveillance, standardised care, research collaboration, capacity building, engagement with policy-makers and access to quality-assured essential medicines. It was conceived through the collaboration of the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), two organisations that have been dedicated to helping countries identify and address the problem of asthma for more than two decades.
