On International Nurses Day 2022, The Union would like to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding contributions of nurses to end tuberculosis (TB) and lung diseases.
TB care and prevention would not be possible without the nursing workforce. Despite their importance, they often work in difficult situations, exposed to many health risks when offering care and treatment to others. These risks have been made even more apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is vital that we must continue to support nurses to deliver high-quality care and treatment in a safe environment.
