The Union World Conference on Lung Health 2025, which took place from 18-21 November in Copenhagen, was a mighty success.
With over 3,000 people in attendance, leading lung health experts including scientists, researchers, policymakers, civil society and affected communities from 120 countries attended this much-anticipated event in the global health calendar.

Income-related disparity in country TB rates
A new analysis of global tuberculosis (TB) data reveals that lower income countries are disproportionately affected by TB.
The Union found that low-income, lower-middle income, and upper-middle income countries consistently reported higher TB rates from 1995 to 2022, compared to high-income countries.
A reflection on 2024

The Union Launches Two Free Online Courses on Tuberculosis
Global efforts to combat tuberculosis (TB) face increasing challenges, including funding constraints and the need for scalable training solutions. In response, The Union has launched two new free online courses to strengthen the skills of health professionals worldwide. Both courses are self-paced, fully online, and designed to support clinicians and programme managers in improving TB diagnosis and management.
