Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association Christmas Seal 2025

The aims and objectives of the Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association

  • To promote, encourage or undertake research and experimental work on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and any other aspects of the diseases and malfunction of the chest, heart and lung
  • To establish, maintain, support or operate care and attention home for the elderly, to provide health education, health promotion, Chinese medicine services and oral health services
  • To strengthen the Association’s links with other regional and international professional organisations

What the Christmas Seal design represents

Centred on the theme of “Tackling TB: We Know How”, our Christmas Seal features artwork by the champion of the secondary school group from our World TB Day 2025 Four-Panel Comic Drawing Competition.  Through storytelling, the Seal highlights the fact that TB is preventable and treatable, aiming to dispel myths and stigmas surrounding the disease.  As we distribute the Christmas Seal, we hope to inspire conversations around TB prevention and encourage everyone to take part in the fight against this disease.

What Christmas Seal sales support

The sale of seals will support a wide range of health education programmes organised by the Association, including:

  • Healthy School Project, an annual programme which aims to enhance students' critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. This programme encourages students to actively engage in improving health conditions within schools. By participating, students not only contribute to a healthier school environment but also develop essential skills that will benefit them in various aspects of life.
  • Family Health Ambassador Programme, a biannual programme which aims to recruit and educate health-conscious individuals on fundamental health care techniques for themselves and their communities. By equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills, the programme fosters a culture of wellness and encourages proactive health management. The ultimate goal is to create a healthier community, where informed individuals can support one another in maintaining and improving overall health and well-being.

The Tuberculosis Association of India  first produced Christmas Seals in 1950.
