The United States National Institutes of Health, the Wellcome Trust, the British Medical Research Council, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and other research councils require that public funded research should be made freely available as of publication or within at least 6 months of publication.
Gold Open Access (Immediate open access):
If an article requires immediate open access, a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license and/or deposit onto PubMed Central (PMC), the author should inform the Editorial Office on acceptance. The cost of immediate open access is 2,500€.
Green Open Access (Author self-archive):
Six months after publication online, authors may self-archive a copy of the final version of the paper accepted for publicationin the IJTLD. This version includes all modifications from the peer-review process, but it is not the edited typeset version of the publisher's pdf.
There are no associated charges, but:
• authors should notify the Editorial Office on acceptance
• the IJTLD reference should be included in the archived paper, and
• copyright should be acknowledged.
Authors may, if they wish, add the link to the pdf of the final published article on Ingenta to their website.
