The Union has launched a new mentorship programme, exclusively for Union members. Mentorship Moments offers Union members an opportunity to gather expertise and advice from more experienced Union members and staff.

The Union’s membership includes professionals from across the globe from every sector, including researchers, clinicians, health programme managers, policymakers, public health professionals, and advocates. Mentors will bring a wealth of knowledge on topics such as successful abstract submissions, paper or grant writing, career development or opportunities and roles in The Union.

Mentees and mentors will meet during the 50th Union World Conference on Lung Health, 30 October - 2 November, in Hyderabad, India.

Dr Jeremiah Chakaya Muhwa, President of The Union, welcomed the new initiative saying, “As a membership organisation, The Union is in the perfect position to bring members together to combine skills, networks, and shared resources. The mentorship programme will hopefully support the next generation of scientists, research and healthworkers to buld their careers in our united goal to end TB, tobacco use, air pollution and lung disease.”

If you are interested in joining the programme, please ensure you are a current member of The Union. Union members are able to immediately qualify for the programme, and can register here as a mentee.

Mentorship Moments participants must be a registered attendee of the 50th Union World Conference on Lung Health and be a current Union member.
